Hon. Ibrahim Olalekan Declares Bid for Ijebu Ode State Constituency Seat

 


Ijebu Ode — Hon. Moibi Ibrahim Olalekan has formally declared his intention to contest for a seat in the Ogun State House of Assembly, representing the Ijebu Ode State Constituency.


In a statement released to newsmen , Olalekan said his decision to run is driven by a renewed sense of purpose and a strong commitment to the people of Ijebu Ode. He described his ambition as a call to service, emphasizing integrity, responsive leadership, and sustainable development as the core of his campaign.


“I am motivated by passion, proven experience, and a deep understanding of the needs of our people,” he said. “This is not just a political journey, but a duty to deliver meaningful and lasting development to our constituency.”


Olalekan will be contesting under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with backing from the Ijebu City Boi Movement (ICBM). He noted that his campaign is built on the principles of progress, unity, and empowerment.


He also highlighted the need for leadership that is attentive and action-oriented, pledging to prioritize improved infrastructure, expanded opportunities, and inclusive representation for all residents.


“I believe in a better Ijebu Ode—where opportunities are accessible, infrastructure is improved, and every voice is heard and valued,” he added.


Calling on supporters to rally behind his vision, Olalekan expressed confidence in a collective victory, declaring, “This is our moment. Together, we rise. Together, we win.”


The declaration marks the beginning of what is expected to be a competitive race for representation in the state assembly.
